It is now December; Christmas and New Years holiday time! We here at Conway Village Barber Shop hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. There is a lot going on this time of year in Orlando, Florida.
We all know that Disney, Universal Studios and the other major theme parks all have great holiday season events and fireworks going on all month. If you are interested in them you can find plenty of information out there.
But there is a lot of smaller, closer to home holiday events going on also. These don’t cost too much, or are even free! Plus they are less crowded and often benefit a worthy cause.
So I thought I would highlight some holiday events going on right here in our Conway, Orlando neighborhood or close by here. They are happening all month. So here are some local events with links to find out more.
Conway Community Market Christmas In The Park Event
The Conway Community and Farmers Market holds an event each month at our local Barber Park. This month, December 14th 2025 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm will be Christmas in the Park!
Barber Park is located at 3701 Gatlin Ave, Orlando, FL 32812. They will have lots of Christmas decorations and gift vendors, produce vendors, food trucks, live music and Santa himself!
No admission charge and pet friendly. Come on out and enjoy the day with the whole family. More information can be found in the link above.
Santa Ride Through Belle Isle
Another holiday event right in our Conway community is the Santa Ride Through Belle Isle event. It will be held for 3 days from Tuesday, December 9 to Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 5 pm to 8 pm each night.
Santa will be cruising through the streets of Belle Isle on his big red motorcycle! The Belle Isle police dept will be helping him make his rounds. Keep watch of the lights and sounds as he drives down your street. Click the link above for full details.
Lake Conway Boat Parade
The Lake Conway Boat Parade is a cool holiday event for you boat lovers! A group of boats will be decked out in amazing Christmas lights as they go around Lake Conway in a clockwise circle.
The parade starts at 7:00 PM at ‘the Point’ on (North) Little Lake Conway and anyone can come and watch. Location is 6634 The Landings Dr, Belle Isle, FL 32812. Click link above for more info.
City of Edgewood Santa Fly-In Event
Ever see Santa fly in on a helicopter? Well you can see that and more at the Edgewood Santa fly-in event! It will be Friday December 5th from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Santa arrives around 6:30 PM).
Santa will fly in on a helicopter in the parking lot of Edgewood city hall, 405 Bagshaw Way, Edgewood, FL 32809. There will be festive holiday light displays, bounce houses and face painting for the kids, Numerous food and dessert vendors serving up delicious treats plus beer and wine available for adults.
Inside city hall will be a Santa meet and greet plus much more. The friendly Edgewood police department will be on hand to help out. Check out the full details in the link above.
Downtown Lake Eola Christmas Tree Show And More
A little further away from Conway, downtown Orlando has a lot of holiday events going on all month. From December 5th to January 6th the big city Christmas tree will come alive with synchronized light and music.
The show will take place at the following times: 5:45 pm, 6:45 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:45 pm, and 9:45 pm. The Christmas Tree is located by E. Washington St. and N. Rosalind Ave.
Lake Eola itself always has a lot of Christmas decorations and lights all this month. Plus lots of food vendors and other smaller holiday things to see and do.
