Howdy everyone, I hope you are all keeping cool somehow! It is almost the fourth of July and it’s going to be a hot one! This year Independence day is also the 250th birthday of America, marking the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
There will be lots of special 4th of July fireworks and events going on around the Orlando area. Lots of people prefer to stay home and shoot off their own fireworks or have small gatherings with friends and family. I for one don’t like mingling with big crowds.
But for those who do and want to see major firework displays up close there are plenty of places to choose from this year. I have put a list of the best places and events below going on around the Orlando area this fourth of July weekend.
Each one has a link to the event you can click on to learn more about the day, time and what to expect at each event. No matter where you go you are sure to hear lots of fireworks, even if you stay home! So here is a list of the best firework shows going on this year! 🙂

Downtown Orlando Lake Eola Park fireworks
Lake Eola in downtown Orlando always has some good fireworks and events. This year the Fireworks at the Fountain event starts at 4 PM and last until 10 PM with the fireworks starting at 9:10 PM. Lots of food trucks and neat things going on. Click here to learn more.
Old Town Red, White & Horsepower 4th of July Fest
Old Town in Kissimmee is a unique, old fashioned “town” with lots of cool retro shops and amusement parks. I use to go there all the time when I was younger! It has a classic car cruise you have to see if you are a car buff. For something different click here to learn more.
Avalon Park 4th of July Celebration
The Avalon Park event is July 4th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Downtown Avalon Park. It will have lots of things going on; lots of food and games. It will have a big fireworks show at the end of the night. To find out more about this event click here and see all the details!
Kids’ 4th of July Celebration
Do you have little ones and are looking for something a bit more kid friendly that is during the day? Then the Kids’ 4th of July Celebration at the Promenade at Sunset Walk is for you! It starts at 11 AM to 12:30 PM. Enjoy lots of games, music and more. Click here to find out all about it.
That wraps up my list of cool 4th of July events and fireworks to visit for the fourth of July. Be prepared for big crowds and lots of traffic! But the firework shows will be amazing this year as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
Hopefully we will not get any rain. As for me, I’ll be taking it easy, maybe taking a walk around the neighborhood and watching the local fireworks being set off around homes. If you have pets please keep them inside and safe. Have a happy and safe Fourth of July! 🙂
